March 29, 2010 Indiana Epsilon Welcomes 12 New Brothers
Yesterday, Sunday the 28th day of March, the Spring Pledge class of 2010 became brothers of Phi Kappa Psi, Indiana Epsilon. We are extremelly pleased to call these fine men our brothers, and expect to continue to see great things come from them as they contribute to Valparaiso University, the surrounding community, and our brotherhood. January 31, 2010 Spring Rush Brings New Pledges Phi Kappa Psi, Indiana Epsilon's rush events concluded with our preference dinner this past Wednesday. Senior Randy Schuster and Alumni Kurt Woock both spoke at the dinner, in front of many distinguished guests, among whom were Valparaiso University President Heckler, and his wife. On friday, we recieved 14 quality men into the Spring Pledge class of 2010. We are extremelly gracious for having a pledge class of this size, after the total number of men in this year's rush at Valparaiso was less than half of the total last year. These pledges have already begun their education to become brothers, and any questions about the pledge process can be directed to Chris DeMarchi, who is in charge of educating the new pledge class. On another note, the will continue to undergo some housekeeping and maintainence to get some pages to display properly, and with updated information. January 19, 2010 Site Update Just to keep everyone up to date with what's going on with the site AND our current rush events: The website is currently in the process of having all of it's information updated and functional. Several of the pages are not displayed properly and will soon be fixed. In the mean time, the 2010 Spring Rush Schedule can be found here. The brothers page will reflect current brothers and their up-to-date information, including house positions and campus involvement within the next week. In the mean time, if you have any questions or comments, please contact the webmaster at Nick.Maassel@Valpo.edu January 12, 2010 Rushing into 2010 After a seemingly speedy fall semester, the brothers of Phi Kappa Psi at Valparaiso University are back in full swing for the Spring semester. Phi Psi's recruitment events began with 'UFC Fight Night' here at the house last night, complete with lots of free food, 2 TVs, and an arm wrestling tournament (pictures to come). The brothers were excited to have an awesome turn out of enthusiastic young men. The next rush event will be this Thursday, January 14th at 5pm, which is a dinner at our house, compliments of our wonderful chef, Cathy! Then, we'll be going to the ARC to watch the Valpo men's basketball team play Youngstown State. The entire spring rush schedule will be posted on this site, soon. Finally, this Friday, don't miss our Foam Dance Party! Be sure to check 'Attending' or 'Maybe Attending' on The Phi Kappa Psi Foam Party facebook page, and that you bring your Valpo id. August 31, 2009 Welcome Back The Indiana Epsilon chapter of Phi Kappa Psi is gearing up for another busy semester. Rush starts at the end of this week, our annual pool party is this Friday night, and as always, we continue to be actively involved outside the classroom, whether it be intramurals, volunteering, work, clubs/organizations, etc. We are looking forward to becoming better leaders and gentlemen as we begin another year at Valparaiso University!
April 26, 2009 Songfest Champions Once Again!
For the second straight year, Phi Kappa Psi has captured the Valparaiso University Songfest title. Songfest, a Valpo Greek Life tradition, was prepared for for months under the careful guidance and direction of Brothers Kurt Woock and Bruce Morgan. We were also accompanied by a band led by Brother Joe Estep. Not only did we win First Place for fraternities, but also awards for the Most Crowd-Pleasing Performance and the Most Creative Performance. December 9th, 2008 Happy Holidays from Phi Kappa Psi, Indiana Epsilon!
The brothers of Phi Kappa Psi recently held a Christmas get-together at our fraternity house for all faculty members and professors of Valparaiso University. Complete with hors d'oeuvres, a fire in the fireplace, and caroling around the piano, a good time was had by all. See the "Pictures" section of our website for more great photos of this event! December 7th, 2008 New Executive Board Elected Randy Schuster will succeed Danny Knoll as President and Chris DeMarchi will succeed Bruce Morgan II as Vice President. November 16th, 2008 3rd Annual Kyle Carson 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
This Sunday we held our Third Annual Kyle Carson 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament at V.U.'s Athletics and Recreation Center in memory of Brother Kyle Carson, Indiana Epsilon '96. Twenty teams participated, including a Phi Kappa Psi delegation from both Wabash College (Indiana Gamma) and the University of Illinois at Chicago (Illinois Theta) and five women's teams. Over $350 was raised, and a great time was had by all. November 8th, 2008 Congratulations to our Freshman Scholarship winners!

After hours of practice, the men of Phi Kappa Psi once again took home the First Place trophy from Valparaiso University's annual Songfest competition. Check out the video by clicking here! April 18th, 2008 Phi Psi 500 Another successful Phi Psi 500 week just ended, during which we were able to raise over $1500 for the Boys and Girls Club of America. During the entire week, if a sorority girl caught and tagged a Phi Psi wearing letters outside, that brother had to either pay a dollar or spend an hour in the makeshift "jail" outside the V.U. Union. After a week of running from sorority girls, we're exhausted, but glad for the opportunity to contribute to this great cause. On top of this, we had themed activities every day, ranging from a date auction to a sorority tug-of-war contest to the ever-popular "Make Over a Phi Psi" competition. A good time was had by all! March 11th, 2008 American Leadership Academy in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
This past week, 15 brothers from Indiana Epsilon attended the American Leadership Academy in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, funded by brother Jerry Nelson (UCLA '48), co-founder of Ticketmaster. While there, we not only got to hear numerous successful businessmen speak about leadership, integrity, commitment, and even negotiation, but also got to enjoy the warm Mexican sun, the cool Pacific Ocean, and, of course, the vibrant Cabo San Lucas nightlife. Our chapter as well as Phi Psi brothers from 15 other chapters across the U.S. stayed in Jerry's resort hotel free of charge, and are eternally grateful for this incredible opportunity which he and so many others involved with the ALA made possible.
